Overview Research Engineer IV at Texas A&M Engineering, Department of Materials Science & Engineering, College Station, Texas. Salary is commensurate. Job Type: Staff. Job Description Purpose: The Research Engineer IV will conduct experimental research on emerging electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices for next-generation AI hardware applications. The candidate should have research experience in semiconductor materials and devices, nanomaterial synthesis and processing, nanofabrication, microscopic and spectroscopic characterization of materials, and testing of electronic or optoelectronic devices. The researcher will also assist and advise graduate and undergraduate students in the group, and collaborate within a team environment. Responsibilities Conduct experimental research on emerging electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices for next-generation AI hardware applications. Assist and advise graduate and undergraduate students in the group. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications PhD in electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, applied physics, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Expertise in semiconductor materials and devices, nanomaterial synthesis and processing, nanofabrication, microscopic and spectroscopic characterization of materials, and testing of electronic or optoelectronic devices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills. Work Location Main Campus – College Station, TX.
