Position Overview
People's Talk Mental Health Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dynamic team in delivering telehealth services to adolescents and young adults. In this role, you will support clients navigating the complexities of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them achieve sustainable healing through innovative therapeutic practices. This position offers full-time commitment with opportunities for flexibility in scheduling, accommodating both contracted and W2 employment options. The annual salary range for this role is between USD 115,000 and 130,000.

Work Environment
This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or any location that suits you. Our advanced telehealth platform ensures that you will have all the necessary tools to facilitate seamless counseling sessions. Our Operations team is dedicated to managing administrative tasks, which enables you to devote your energy and passion to providing high-quality mental health care without distractions. Additionally, our full-time Admissions and Assessment teams are in place to streamline client intake and ensure efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and intake procedures for new clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual counseling sessions, maintaining a maximum of 8 clients per group to foster deeper relationships and effective therapeutic outcomes.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative therapies to address the mental health issues presented by clients, continuously evaluating and adapting treatment plans based on client progress.
- Collaborate with fellow clinicians in case discussions, sharing insights and strategies to enhance client care while engaging in professional development.
- Provide crisis intervention and support, ensuring that clients receive timely assistance during moments of acute mental distress.
- Document clinical notes and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations while safeguarding client confidentiality.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will center on supporting adolescents and young adults facing various mental health challenges, including mental health conditions triggered by trauma, substance use disorders, and anxiety. Our clients benefit from a structured yet compassionate therapeutic environment where they can express themselves freely and receive support from professionals dedicated to their improvement and healing.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
- A valid and independent mental health license is essential, which may include LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
- Availability to work between 12 and 40 hours per week, contingent upon employment type (contract or W2).
- Experience in telehealth practices and online counseling platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience
While not required, previous experience working with adolescents and young adults in a counseling capacity is beneficial. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care will be advantageous in this role. Additionally, a commitment to continued learning and development in the field of mental health is encouraged through our provided Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Compensation and Benefits
In recognition of your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000.
