Maintenance Mechanic

Provide electronic, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic service to assigned production equipment. Skills to include welding, electronics, electricity, controls, mechanics, basic fabrication, work order reporting, downtime reporting, communication with peers, leadership, customers and equipment vendors, organization, follow-through, parts usage reporting and excellent interaction skills.

Progress through the skill based gate ways.

Certification and Progression through the Maintenance Skill Based Pay System

Maintenance Work Groups, Root Cause and Breakdown analysis

Preventive Maintenance Compliance:

Ensure that scheduled preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and as required for equipment and machinery.

Equipment Downtime:

Minimize unscheduled equipment downtime by addressing breakdowns and repairs promptly, aiming to keep operations running smoothly.

Response Time:

Track the time it takes to respond to maintenance requests and resolve urgent issues, with a goal of reducing downtime.

Work Order Completion:

Measure the efficiency of work order completion, including the time taken to complete maintenance tasks from request to resolution.

Safety Adherence:

Comply with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance activities to reduce safety incidents and risks.

Skill Development:

Pursue training and skill development opportunities to improve proficiency in equipment repair and maintenance.

Quality and technical system adherence

Completion of the required production to plan

Health and Safety

Impeccable hygiene standards always

Clean as you go; use proper cleaning techniques (i.e. limited water hose usage)

In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced.

The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $31.52-$35.27 an hour.
