Physical Plant Assistant - The Park at University Village

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join our Physical Plant Department at The Park at University Village! Compensation and Schedule Earn between $19 and $21/hour, dependent on experience. Day shift available: Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm. Part-time team members are offered Dental and Accident Medical Benefits only. Who You Are You enjoy aiding in maintenance and physical plant operational work. This role assists in completing physical plant services assigned by PPD or ED to maintain the building and grounds of the community. What You'll Do Direct, coordinate, and complete physical plant services to maintain the building and grounds of the community Tasks include carpet cleaning, wall painting, and minor repairs Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program Maintain facility to meet all regulatory requirements Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Possess the diagnostic and mechanical skills and abilities necessary for accomplishing repairs on systems and buildings Some supervisory experience needed Must be drug free and submit to urinary analysis drug screening upon hire and routinely Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public Equal Opportunity Employment Koelsch Communities is an equal opportunity employer and these protections extend to all management practices and decisions, including recruitment and hiring, appraisal systems, promotions/demotions, training, and any other career development programs.
