Ward Clerk / Telemetry Technician Location: Hamilton, Montana. About the Role Provides clerical support for the Medical‑Surgical, SWING, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and Birthing Center units while monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry. This position plays a critical role in supporting clinical operations, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring timely recognition of cardiac rhythm changes that may require immediate attention. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls Contact providers and facilitate communication between care team members Coordinate department paperwork and documentation Enter and maintain information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Support daily operations of Medical‑Surgical, SWING, CDU, and Birthing Center units Assist with administrative and clerical functions to ensure efficient patient care delivery Telemetry Technician Duties Monitor cardiac rhythms, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and continuous pulse oximetry Observe telemetry patients across inpatient and outpatient settings Recognize and respond appropriately to basic and life‑threatening cardiac rhythms Communicate significant rhythm changes to nursing staff promptly Maintain accurate telemetry monitoring records and documentation What You Bring Education High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required Licensure & Certifications Successful completion of a Telemetry Course within six months of hire Skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within an Electronic Medical Record system Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to recognize and interpret basic cardiac rhythms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Bitterroothealth
