Overview
Registered Nurse – ER (Travel) in Utica, NY. Start date 12/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,417–$2,612. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 12-hour Evening shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week (12x4). Setting: hospital Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct emergency nursing care to patients across age groups in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid reassessment.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per ED protocols, including vasopressors, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, analgesia, and anticoagulants; manage documentation of therapies and responses.
- Document care in the EPIC EMR, communicate clearly with physicians, nursing peers, case management, and families; ensure accurate, timely charting and handoffs.
- Monitor for evolving conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure; initiate evidence-based interventions and escalate to physicians as needed.
- Float to select areas as required; adhere to unit policies, maintain readiness, and uphold patient safety and infection control standards.
- Support patient advocacy and education; participate in debriefings and quality improvement activities as appropriate for ED operations.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification
- 2+ years of ED nursing experience; travel experience preferred
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment; strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork
- Valid driver's license; address must match demographics; travel eligibility
- Travel requirement: must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility (locals accepted at local rate)
- RTO (time off) must be requested and included at submission
