Senior UX Researcher, Observability, Cloud

Drive research strategy by independently identifying, prioritizing, and scoping opportunities based on user needs, product telemetry, and business goals.Partner with Product Management and UX Design to define the product roadmap and the future of observability tools.Conduct tactical and strategic evaluations to streamline user journeys, identifying and mitigating user friction points.Deliver research findings to cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex behavioral data into frameworks.Establish benchmarking and measurement programs to track tool quality, and mentor junior researchers on best practices.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.6 years of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic), or similar.Experience with qualitative research methodologies.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above).3 years of experience managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization.Experience with quantitative research methodologies and data analysis.Experience conducting research in a highly technical or enterprise product domain.At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow."
