Details Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a Level III trauma hospital Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15 Patient ratio of 1:5 Required to cover pediatric patients as needed Every other weekend coverage required No call responsibilities Floating required Cannot have a blocked schedule Uses Meditech charting system Requirements Active RN license (OK or Compact) required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required ACLS and CPI certifications preferred Telemetry experience preferred IV therapy/phlebotomy experience preferred Feeding tube care and management experience preferred Pediatric experience within the last 3 years preferred Meditech charting experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care within a Medical Surgical unit setting 110 staffed-bed, non-profit, short-term acute care hospital First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travel pairs are accepted Local candidates are not considered; a 45-mile radius applies RTO must be submitted at time of consideration Blue scrubs required for nursing staff No parking costs at this facility American Traveler Job ID P-737979.
