Schedule: 4 day Work Week and NO WEEKENDS! Monday: 7:00am-5:00pm Tuesday: 7:00am-5:00pm Wednesday: 7:00am-5:00pm Thursday: 7:00am-5:00pm Friday: OFF Responsibilities The Hygienist will utilize their experience and expertise to ensure a high level of patient care. The Lead Hygienist will mentor and coach members of the hygiene team in an effort for continuous process improvements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth. Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, evaluating gum health, and identifying potential issues. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, following established protocols for patient safety. Complete oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' oral health needs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to prevent dental issues and promote whole-body health. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay. Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records. Monitor and maintain dental equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and infection control. Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment during appointments. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and oral health through continuing education. Qualifications Associate’s degree in relevant area of study / Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program State license required Certification in local anesthesia administration (if required by practice) CPR certification Previous Work Experience 1-2+ years of progressive experience as a registered dental hygienist Must be comfortable with dental technology Our commitment to inclusion is woven into the core of who we are.
