Job Description
Title: Labor & Delivery Nurse

Schedule:
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours
- Nights

Assignment Details:
- Patient ratio: 2:1
- Beds/rooms: 15

Requirements:
- Preferred: 3 years L&D experience
- Minimum: 2 years L&D experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP (pending certifications acceptable)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care to patients in labor and delivery, including antepartum care.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions using external fetal monitoring.
- Triage obstetrical patients and assist with vaginal deliveries.
- Circulate and recover patients post-C-section.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and maintain central lines (CVC/PICC).
- Administer various therapies such as anticoagulation and antihypertensives, while ensuring proper isolation precautions.

Compliance / Notes:
- Pending state/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start.
- Fingerprints/background check required.
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal; max 4 days off auto-approved.
- Orientation modules to be completed onsite.
