Mechanical Estimator – Atlanta, GA (Onsite)A design?build mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support complex industrial and large commercial projects. This role requires strong quantity takeoff skills, deep mechanical systems knowledge, and the ability to collaborate closely with internal design teams on highly customized solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC and plumbing systemsEstimate fire protection scopes and coordinate with subcontractors for bid sourcingSupport pricing and scoping for large industrial/manufacturing projects (no residential or retail)Work closely with internal design teams to develop custom design?build solutionsReview incomplete drawings and determine what information is needed to complete estimatesManage deadlines, internal review dates, and kickoff meeting preparationCollaborate on projects ranging from $15M–$100M in valueMust?Have Qualifications5+ years of mechanical estimating experience (more preferred)Strong HVAC and plumbing quantity takeoff experienceFire protection estimation experienceExperience sourcing and evaluating subcontractor bidsBackground in large commercial, industrial, or manufacturing projectsAbility to work onsite in Atlanta (5 days/week initially; 1 remote day/week based on performance)Nice?to?HavesExperience with mechanical contractorsDesign?build project experienceFire protection estimation experienceAccubid proficiencyExperience with Trimble, ProEst, or other takeoff toolsIdeal Candidate ProfileComfortable working with incomplete drawings and asking the right questionsStrong collaborator who works well with design teamsOrganized, deadline?driven, and able to manage workload independentlyUnderstands internal review processes and project kickoff expectationsExperienced in large?scale mechanical estimating (never wood?structure projects)Type: Direct HireCategory: EngineeringDate Posted: 2026-08-19
