Talascend is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Atlanta, Georgia .


Overview


This role involves managing complex IT projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budget. The project management activities include overseeing all phases from business case formulation to production release and transition to operations, with a focus on compliance, stakeholder communication, and process stabilization.


Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
• Develop project plans including timelines, scope, dependencies, and resource allocation
• Conduct project kick-off meetings and manage cross-functional stakeholders
• Create and maintain project documentation, presentations, and communication tools
• Manage project compliance requirements, including information security checkpoints and reviews
• Establish and monitor ITIL processes for IT platforms
• Set and track KPIs, oversee vendor engagement, and manage project risks and issues
• Lead project workshops and ensure successful project execution through all tollgates
• Coordinate IT Ops transition, hypercare, and production release activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT project management, leading complex projects successfully
• Experience deploying and stabilizing ITIL processes and IT projects
• Knowledge of HON IT projects and systems
• Ability to quickly ramp up and lead projects involving new technologies or processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with project management tools such as ITPPM (or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education

• Experience working with contractors and managing cross-functional teams
