As a Senior Lead Architec t at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Operations Technology team, you are an integral part of a group that designs and delivers high-quality architecture solutions for software applications and platform products. In this role, you serve as the Architecture Lead for the Cash and Check Management product in Consumer & Community Banking Operations Technology, promoting modernization efforts and supporting a critical banking function that impacts the entire firm. You leverage deep expertise across multiple architecture domains to shape the target-state architecture, deliver significant business value, and ensure the scalability, resilience, and strategic alignment of the firm's technology landscape. Job responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and modernization of critical banking operations within Consumer & Community BankingOperations Technology Leverages enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data. Establishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controls. Define and drive target state architecture for critical banking functions Ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and architectural standards Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate Develop and maintain architectural documentation and roadmaps Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for architecture-related issues Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver impactful technology initiatives Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the architecture team Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale architecture solutions Strong knowledge of modernization strategies for legacy systems Expertise in cloud technologies and distributed systems Experience with banking operations and financial services technology Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Experience with Cash and Check Management systems Prior experience in architecting solutions for critical bank functions Certification in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with modernization of mainframe and legacy applications Demonstrated ability to drive firmwide impact through technology leadership Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
