Position Overview This onsite position is based in Abbott Park, IL within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. The Associate Architect, Integrations plays a key role in implementing, supporting, and advancing Abbott’s Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystem within the HRTS HCM Architecture team. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain integrations that connect Workday with internal and external systems. Build integrations using Core Connectors, Packaged Connectors, Workday Studio, and EIBs. Collaborate with project teams, including Functional Consultants, Project Managers, and offshore resources, to deliver integration components for HR initiatives. Support the full integration lifecycle—requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Partner with the Integrations Manager on system analysis, optimization efforts, and architectural improvements. Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures. Provide on‑call support and ensure timely resolution of integration‑related incidents. Maintain SLAs for operational tickets and ensure adherence to established support guidelines. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. 7–8 years of hands‑on experience developing and supporting Workday integrations. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of HR processes and Workday HCM concepts. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with SaaS architecture and integration patterns, including SOAP, REST APIs, and Orchestrations. Experience with XML, XSLT, ETV, XTT, JSON, HTML, JAVA. Proficiency with development and testing tools such as Workday Studio, Oxygen, Postman, or SOAP UI. Experience with Workday Extend. Working knowledge of Workday integration tools, including EIBs and Core Connectors. Compensation Salary: $86,700.00 — $173,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
