Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

Commercial Hvac TechnicianJoin our Facilities team as a Commercial HVAC Technician. In this role, you will help keep our buildings safe, comfortable, and operating efficiently. You will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, while supporting overall building maintenance. This position works closely with site operations, vendors, and other maintenance team members to ensure facility equipment performs reliably and meets safety standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and customer service are essential.This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus.Responsibilities:Inspect, maintain, and repair building HVAC and refrigeration equipmentUse the building automation system to find and fix system issuesWork with BMS technicians to make system adjustments and improve equipment performanceComplete preventive maintenance tasks to help maximize equipment life and reduce downtimeReview work orders, estimate materials needed, and complete repairs in a timely mannerMaintain inventory of parts and supplies needed to support maintenance activitiesPerform emergency repairs and respond quickly to urgent facility issuesComplete maintenance records and documentation accuratelySupport general building repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, and painting workAssist with managing contractors and vendors as neededRespond to internal service requests and facility support ticketsHelp train and support other maintenance team membersBuild positive working relationships with internal customers, vendors, and team membersFollow all company safety policies and OSHA requirementsQualifications:High school diploma or GEDUniversal CFC Certification3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, or a combination of related education and experienceAbility to read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsCommitment to personal safety and the safety of othersAbility to complete OSHA 10 certification within six months of hireBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF applicationsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs or laddersAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to work in mechanical rooms and various facility environmentsWork onsite at one or more company locations as neededMay participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situationsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with building automation systems (BAS/BMS)Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Basic knowledge of budgeting and maintenance cost managementStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
