Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a Level 2B Special Care Nursery within a 25-bed unit encompassing Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, ORs, ANU rooms, and Recovery Room
• Manage patient assignments in accordance with established nurse-to-patient ratios (L&D 1:2–3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor/magnesium drip/epidural; Postpartum 1:3–4)
• Deliver specialized care for newborns and mothers across all patient populations with an average daily census of 15–25
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC EMR
• Work night shifts (7p–7a); night shift does not rotate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 3 years of NICU/Special Care Nursery experience in a single location, or minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse in the specialty
• Demonstrated skill set in Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Familiarity with Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care environments
