Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our team in Minneapolis, MN, 55414. In this role, you will provide leadership for the shipping and receiving operations, outside services, and logistics functions ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently to ensure a 95% or better on-time delivery performance. You will play a crucial role with regards to the shipping workflow.ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all shipments.Manage and train a team of shipping and receiving staff, including DOT truck drivers, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless logistics and inventory management.Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management to prevent shortages or overages.Coordinates, expedites, and orders all outside services to suppor operations.Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists. Coordinated UPS worldwide and/or Fedex and arranges for other carriers as needed.Resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.Conduct regular audits of shipping and receiving processes to identify areas for improvement.Ensures vehicles and drivers are DOT compliant as well as maintaining vechicle maintenance reports. Acts as a backup DOT driver when needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of logistics, including DOT regulations, and inventory management principles.Experience with international shipment requirements.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficient in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.You should be proficient in:DOT Medical CardShipping/ReceivingWarehouse ExperienceExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentUPS WorldShip #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
