Competency in CT procedures, protocols, and techniques

Prepare patients for examination. Position patients based on physician's orders. Operate Computed Tomography (CT) equipment and accessories. Produce quality images as directed by physicians and radiologists for the diagnosis or treatment of anatomic or physiologic disorders. Demonstrate knowledge of general anatomy, technical factors, CT imaging fundamentals, radiation protection, basic computer skills, and PACS. This position requires working independently on weekends performing CT and X-ray. Operate C.T. equipment, C.T. fluoroscopy, including power injectors, as needed to demonstrate anatomical or physiologic disorders. Skills required include X-ray and CT. Equipment used includes Philips X-ray units and GE CT units.
