About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required. License: Active license in the relevant field required. Certifications: BLS required; flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with Epic charting system required. - Trauma Level II experience preferred. - Travel experience preferred. Description: Inpatient/Acute Care Physical Therapist needed for a hospital setting. Shifts are 5x8 hour days with flexible start times between 7:00 and 9:30. Coverage is negotiable, including weekend shifts. Required to manage patient care in an acute setting effectively. Candidates should be adept in adaptive devices, patient assessments, and safety management. Skills in managing chronic illnesses, rehabilitation techniques, and effective patient family education are necessary. Experience in handling acute care cases such as congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and post-stroke rehabilitation is beneficial. A strong understanding of patient mobility, injury prevention, and vital sign monitoring is essential. Candidates should be proficient in creating home exercise programs and reassessments for patients while ensuring skin integrity and comfort during therapy sessions. The role requires coordination with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Local candidates may be considered.
