Greeneville, TN | Full‑Time | Excellent County Benefits Greene County Health Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to provide professional nutrition services for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program at the county level. This role evaluates nutrition services, delivers medical nutrition therapy, and supports community health initiatives across the region. What You’ll Do Assign supplemental food packages and certify eligible WIC participants in accordance with program guidelines Develop, document, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans and provide medical nutrition therapy Assess nutrition data, identify risk factors, and counsel clients on behavior change Determine client eligibility for WIC and therapeutic nutrition products Perform key health calculations (BMI, gestational age, nutrition intake, due date) and document findings in medical records Provide education on breastfeeding, diabetes management, and healthy lifestyle behaviors using varied teaching tools and media Serve as a nutrition expert on multi‑agency committees and represent the program in community outreach activities Maintain required continuing education and participate in ongoing training to stay current on best practices Support team performance by offering feedback, addressing misunderstandings, and evaluating work according to program standards Qualifications Active registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration AND One year of full‑time professional nutrition experience (before or after obtaining RD) OR Master’s degree in human nutrition, dietetics, public health, or a related field and active RD registration What We’re Looking For Strong clinical nutrition knowledge and counseling skills Ability to communicate complex nutrition concepts in a clear, supportive way Experience working with diverse populations Commitment to public health, maternal/child health, and community wellness Strong documentation and organizational abilities Why Join Us?
