As the clinical heartbeat of a premier Pediatric Endocrinology outpatient team, the RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator II enjoys a coveted Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM schedule. The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator expertly balances direct provider support and patient care during ambulatory sessions with critical care coordination. Key responsibilities include: clinical triage, advocacy, efficiency, and navigating complex patient care workflows and tasks within Epic. The role operates within a robust, collaborative multidisciplinary group consisting of 12 Faculty, 4 Fellows, 9 NPs, 6 RNs, and a robust clinical support team. In this team-oriented environment, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator II's expertise is both valued and vital. To meet the needs of a growing patient population, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator II supports several prestigious regional locations, including St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH), Children's Specialty Care Centers (West and South), Graham Road, and Shiloh, IL. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients including observations and recommendations. Conveys findings to provider.
- Coordinates patient care, assists providers with entering treatment/therapy plans in EMR, ordering diagnostic testing, conveys findings to provider, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources.
- Assists provider with examination, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance.
- Serves as a liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and healthcare team members. Provides appropriate education to patients/families explaining medications, which may include initial chemotherapy teaching, procedures, and ensures continuity of care for patients.
- Onboards new coordinators.
- Reviews EPIC treatment plans for new order sets and clinical trials.
- Serves as Epic Trainer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with three years of clinical nurse coordinator experience.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range:
$68,700.00 - $123,600.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
