Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize refrigeration systems serving food production facilities, cold storage operations, distribution centers, and commercial processing environments.

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy advanced troubleshooting, critical systems, and solving problems that most technicians cannot.

Ideal Candidates Have Experience With:

Industrial and commercial refrigeration systems

Cold storage warehouses and distribution facilities

Food processing and food production facilities

Process cooling applications

Walk-in freezers and coolers

Refrigeration rack systems

Low-temperature refrigeration systems

Compressor systems, controls, and associated mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex commercial refrigeration systems

Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control issues

Service compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, and refrigeration circuits

Conduct preventive maintenance and system inspections

Respond to refrigeration service calls and critical equipment failures

Communicate professionally with customers and facility personnel

Complete accurate service reports and documentation

Mentor junior technicians when appropriate

Qualifications

7+ years of commercial refrigeration experience preferred

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities

Experience supporting food production, cold storage, or industrial refrigeration environments

EPA Certification required

Valid driver's license

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical field work

Highly Desired

Experience with refrigeration rack systems

Experience in food manufacturing or processing environments

Experience with process cooling systems

Controls and electrical troubleshooting expertise

OEM factory training or advanced refrigeration certifications

Work Environment

Field-based commercial refrigeration service

Food production facilities

Cold storage warehouses

Distribution centers

Mechanical rooms and rooftops

Physical work including climbing, lifting, kneeling, and working in varying temperatures

Compensation & Benefits

$50–$60+ per hour based on experience

Top refrigeration technicians are compensated accordingly.

Additional Compensation

Overtime at 1.5× pay

Double time on holidays
