Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Job Overview Senior Hardware Design Engineer – responsible for designing mixed‑signal hardware for Raytheon's Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter subsystems. Requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. This is a 1st shift, 100% on‑site role based in either Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA with travel between front‑end locations. Location Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA (Boston region); travel to multiple MA sites anticipated. Responsibilities Design, model, simulate, and verify circuit and subsystem architecture for mixed‑signal hardware. Perform integration and testing at component, CCA, and subsystem levels. Transition designs to production and provide technical support to manufacturing and test engineers. Occasional travel to supplier, integration, and customer sites; manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility. Required Qualifications Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in digital design, RF/Analog design, or production testing and troubleshooting circuits. Proficiency with design simulation tools such as HyperLynx or LTSpice and analytical tools such as Matlab. Experience with design development tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic capture and layout. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience interfacing and testing Digital‑to‑Analog and Analog‑to‑Digital converters. Experience with high‑speed digital interfaces (JESD204B, DDR3/DDR4, SERDES, 10G+ Ethernet, Fiber Channel). Background in FPGA hardware inference designs including SERDES and LVDS. Knowledge of requirement allocation from system to component level. Cost estimating, budget and schedule management experience. Proficiency with lab equipment (logic analyzer, oscilloscope, phase noise analyzer, spectrum analyzer). Experience in a production environment and in technical writing, proposal writing, and oral presentations. Active or existing Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Compensation Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
