Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Neulife Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitative care. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injury, surgery, or neurological conditions by improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring functional independence.Neulife Rehabilitation is a leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitative services in Mount Dora, Florida. Our team is dedicated to restoring independence and improving quality of life for every patient we serve.Key Responsibilities:Deliver physical therapy interventions based on established plans of care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistAdminister therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activitiesUtilize therapeutic modalities as appropriate (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy) in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocolsAccurately document patient treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely mannerMonitor patient status and report changes, concerns, or progress to the supervising Physical TherapistAssist in modifying treatment techniques within the established plan of care to meet patient needsEducate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs (HEP), safety, and injury prevention strategiesEnsure compliance with all regulatory standards, payer guidelines, and company policiesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environmentParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care planningSupport clinic flow, including patient preparation and equipment setupQualifications & Requirements:Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent, active Florida PTA license in good standingCPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, modalities, and documentation standardsFamiliarity with EMR systems and basic computer skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environmentCommitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered careNew graduates welcome; prior outpatient, inpatient, or neuro rehab experience preferredPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to lift, transfer, and assist patients weighing up to 50–100 lbs with appropriate assistive devices or team supportManual dexterity to provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and operate rehabilitation equipmentAbility to respond quickly to patient needs, including guarding against fallsTolerance for a physically active role involving repetitive movements and sustained activityVisual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor patient performance and safetyWork environment includes a clinical setting with exposure to medical equipment and patients with varying physical conditionsCompensation & Benefits:$35–$40 per hour (based on experience)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer optionsPaid time off and holidaysOn-site daycare$5,000 sign-on bonusContinuing education and professional development opportunitiesCareer advancement pathways within the organization
