Cost Control / Construction Accountant with Security Clearance

Job Title Cost Control/Construction Accountant Overview Provides professional on‑site facility and project management services across a variety of small to large‑scale construction projects, including space upgrades and modifications to meet the mission needs of federal clients. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of projects while addressing challenges. Construction cost management, tracking of funds, and budgeting. Financial analysis, economic analysis, and report production. Project administration, program management, and database management. Required Experience & Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial/gov‑tment facility construction project management. Financial analysis using Excel spreadsheets, including formulas and formats. Experience with cost controls and financial cost tracking. Experience with database software and report production. Experience developing and evaluating economic analysis. Experience developing and evaluating construction project cost estimates and tracking funds. SharePoint database management and design. Ability to pass a “suitability” background investigation. Preferred Experience & Skills CPA, PMP, and federal government accounting experience. Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/gov‑tment building projects, including simultaneous construction and/or building projects. Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a stressful environment. Required Education Accounting, business, finance, or construction management bachelor’s degree (civil, mechanical, electrical, architectural, etc.) from an accredited university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Background Screening All positions require a background check and may require a security clearance, special credentialing, or access clearance as a condition of employment. The selected candidate may begin employment prior to completion of the background check, with continued employment contingent upon satisfactory results.
