Senior Litigation Attorney (AZ)

Meagher + Geer, P.L.L.P., a nationally recognized litigation defense and insurance coverage firm, is seeking an accomplished Senior Litigation Attorney to join our Arizona office. This is an opportunity for a seasoned trial lawyer to take on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of a respected regional and national practice. What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of substantial litigation experience, preferably in complex civil litigation, insurance defense, professional liability, construction, commercial litigation, or related practice areas Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience in state and/or federal courts Admission to practice in Arizona required; California admission is a strong plus Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills Sound judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to independently manage complex matters from inception through resolution Strong client-service orientation and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and referral sources Interest in mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented practice What You’ll Do: Lead and manage complex litigation matters, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, expert strategy, settlement evaluation, and trial preparation Develop and execute effective litigation strategies aligned with client goals and business considerations Take and defend depositions, argue motions, participate in mediations and arbitrations, and try cases as appropriate Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical, strategic, and responsive counsel Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and staff across offices to deliver excellent client service Mentor and support the professional development of junior attorneys while contributing to the firm’s collegial culture We are committed to diversity within the legal profession.
