How You Will Make an Impact As an Electrical Supervisor , you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties. Responsibilities Lead your team in safety complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures. Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment. Travel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase. Review, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc.. Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day tasks such as inspections, PMs, trouble shooting, reporting, etc.. Review and approve time sheets, vacation requests, POs and invoices. Attend training and certification courses required by the company. Developing, maintaining, and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX. Engaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times. Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment. In conjunction with senior supervision, may plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions. Interacts with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule. Responsible for resolving direct reports’ issues (lack of productivity, safety, quality, work interface, rework etc.) as required. Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary). Assess work completion. Create punch lists. Advise senior level supervision of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience. Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical. Physical Demands Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit and climb or balance. Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Capable of working Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. Room and board provided at or near the location of the job.
