Warehouse Attendant
The Business and Employment Centre
Our client, a delivery and handling services provider in Barbados, is seeking a reliable, organised Warehouse Attendant to assist with receiving, storing and dispatching goods while maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse.
Main Responsibilities- Receive and check deliveries against supporting documents, reporting shortages or damaged goods.
- Store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper labelling and stock rotation.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately for collection or dispatch.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, following safe handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stocktaking.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and free from hazards.
- Follow health and safety procedures and report equipment faults or safety concerns.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom or similar environment would be an asset.
- CXC/CSEC passes in English Language and Mathematics would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to check quantities and maintain records accurately.
- Ability to safely lift, move and handle goods as required.
- A reliable, punctual team player who can follow instructions and work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
