Make a difference in the lives of high school students by taking on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the full academic year. Based near Salem, VA, you'll be working in a high school environment supporting students' communication needs and collaborating with dedicated educational staff.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid VA SLP license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Skilled in conducting student assessments and evaluations
- Familiarity with writing and updating IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for attending meetings and working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide engaging and effective direct therapy to high school students
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Overseeing a full caseload of student assessments and evaluations
- Developing, writing, and regularly updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attending IEP and team meetings as part of ongoing student support
- Providing direct therapy sessions for students in accordance with IEPs
- Tracking progress and maintaining accurate student documentation
- Managing responsibilities within full-time contracted hours
