Position Summary

CMC is expanding services with Mercy LIFE PA and seeking a compassionate Part-Time Optometrist to provide routine eye care across three Philadelphia-area centers. Each location requires approximately 1-2 visits per month , and coverage may be split among multiple providers.

This role is ideal for an Optometrist looking to supplement their current schedule while delivering high-quality care to geriatric and underserved populations in well-organized, supportive clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams for geriatric and underserved patients
• Diagnose, manage, and treat common ocular conditions
• Prescribe corrective lenses and collaborate with on-site clinical staff
• Provide patient and caregiver education on preventive eye care
• Maintain a respectful, patient-centered experience in each facility

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD)
• Active Pennsylvania Optometry License
• Experience with geriatric populations or mobile care preferred
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and empathy
• Comfortable working independently in facility-based settings

Schedule & Structure

• Approximately 3-4 days per month total
• Weekday scheduling with flexibility
• Typical hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Coverage may be shared among multiple providers
