Location: Richmond VA - Hybrid (3 days week)
Duration: Long-term
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Purchasing (PO) modules. The ideal candidate must have practical experience configuring these modules and leading end-to-end functional implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional implementation activities for PeopleSoft Financials AP and PO modules.
- Perform hands-on configuration of Accounts Payable and Purchasing functionalities based on business requirements.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Configure business units, vendors, payment processing, vouchers, matching, procurement workflows, and purchasing processes.
- Support integration between AP, PO, General Ledger (GL), and other relevant PeopleSoft Financials modules.
- Prepare functional specifications and configuration documentation.
- Conduct functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Support data conversion, reconciliation, deployment, and post-production activities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure successful implementation.
- Recommend best practices and process improvements for accounts payable and procurement operations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials.
- Expertise in PeopleSoft Accounts Payable (AP) and Purchasing (PO) modules.
- Proven experience in AP/PO configuration and end-to-end functional implementations.
- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) business processes.
- Experience with requirements gathering, functional design, testing, and implementation.
- Knowledge of AP/PO integrations with General Ledger and related financial modules.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
