Director, Product Design

As Director of Product Design, you’ll lead a talented team in shaping the future of our industry-leading work execution platform. You’ll guide the user experience (UX) strategy, build a thriving design team, and collaborate across the company to create innovative solutions. You are a leader and a coach who inspires excellence. You have 12+ years of experience managing UX teams and a passion for human-centered design. You’re an expert in design thinking, prototyping, and user research, with a strong track record of success. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Set the vision and strategy for Smartsheet’s user experience
- Lead and mentor a team of UX designers
- Develop clear goals and metrics for design decisions
- Build and improve UX processes, standards, and tools
- Partner with product managers and engineers to deliver exceptional features
- 12+ years of experience in a cross-functional design leadership role
- 6+ years leading and mentoring UX teams (managing managers a plus)
- Experience designing for enterprise SaaS platforms
- Strong visual design skills and expertise in design tools (Figma, etc.)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for user experience and a drive to make a difference
- Base salary range: $205,000 – $297,000 (depending on location)
