CVOR Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This role requires proficiency in managing all aspects of cardiovascular open-heart cases, including valves, bypass surgeries, and vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable circulating hybrid cases and various vascular operations, such as carotid procedures and Fem-Fem bypasses.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assist in preparation and management of all lines and drips required for anesthesia.
• Support surgical teams during open-heart and vascular cases, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Rotate through other nursing duties when not engaged in CVOR activities.
• Be available for call shifts, including weekend and weekday schedules as needed.
• Serve as a backup for general nursing duties during on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience required.
• Experience in circulating hybrid and vascular cases preferred.
• Ability to set up and manage anesthesia lines and medications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Schedule

This position offers a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, along with rotating night and weekend on-call responsibilities. Weekends include call obligations on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as one weekday call per week, rotating every 4th to 5th weekend.
