Description
- Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and elder demographics utilizing standardized measures and observational strategies.
- Craft customized treatment plans that cater to immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care plans.
- Provide training and education to patients and their families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Engage with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on an as-needed basis, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Uphold meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification if applicable.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for a broad range of ages, with an in-depth understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to modify therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort with electronic health records and documentation compliance.
