Registered Nurse

Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Job Location: Marietta, GA Shift: Nights (3x12 Hours)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using Rapid Response protocols.
• Apply isolation precautions and follow infection control standards.
• Manage peripheral IV lines and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Deliver oxygen therapy through nasal cannula, face masks, and non-invasive methods; manage tracheostomy care when required.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient status accurately in Cerner (EMR).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with facility procedures and standards in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
• Participate in mandatory floating across units or facilities within a 50-mile range, when needed.
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability while working three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
• Adhere strictly to time-off and attendance policies, especially around holidays.
• Maintain up-to-date BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.
• Deliver compassionate and evidence-based care in alignment with hospital protocols.
