Assistant Project ManagerOur client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will assist Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and quality control while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to client expectations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to grow within a collaborative project management environment while contributing to healthcare, educational, and institutional construction projects.Location: Asheville, NC 28704Job Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $75,000 – $95,000 per yearKey ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & ExecutionSupport Project Managers in overseeing daily project operations, schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.Assist with tracking project progress, identifying potential delays, and supporting resolution of project issues.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and site personnel to maintain efficient workflow.Assist in maintaining project documentation, reports, meeting notes, and progress updates.Construction Management SupportReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and resource coordination.Participate in project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Support quality control processes to ensure project standards are maintained.Team CollaborationBuild effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.Communicate project updates, risks, and action items effectively.Support a positive and collaborative project environment.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project coordination or management support.Experience with healthcare, K-12, higher education, or institutional construction projects preferred.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) project delivery.Familiarity with construction management software and project tracking tools.Experience coordinating subcontractors and field teams.OSHA or construction safety knowledge.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary of $75,000 – $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.Performance-based bonus opportunities.Vehicle allowance and fuel support.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Paid vacation and holidays.Career growth and professional development opportunities.Supportive, employee-focused company culture.About HRforGrowthHRforGrowth is a full-service HR and talent partner built to support companies that are scaling, transforming, or navigating change.
