Desktop Support Specialist

Salary: $55,000 - 61,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar end-user computing role.
• Hands-on experience with laptops, docking stations, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Experience with asset setup and provisioning, mobile-device troubleshooting, IP print troubleshooting, audio/visual and conference equipment, and software distribution.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user and group management.
• Proficiency supporting Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or equivalent endpoint management tools.
• Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform for incident and request management.
• Working technical knowledge of current operating systems, system software, and PC standards and protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with remote technology teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• A bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully, including repetitive computer work, communication with customers and team members, and occasional movement around the office.

• Install, configure, diagnose, repair, and upgrade corporate desktops, laptops, docking stations, printers, and other peripherals.
• Provision workstations and complete hardware refreshes, including installing software for end users.
• Coordinate with IT personnel on purchasing, installing, relocating, and removing workstations, printers, and other equipment.
• Install, configure, and replace network and communications equipment as directed.
• Manage computer recycling and destruction according to client procedures.
• Respond promptly to assigned ITSM incidents and service requests.
• Communicate with end users to assess needs, schedule work, and provide basic hardware and software training.
• Support company-distributed mobile devices; personal-device support is limited to approved company applications.
• Provide professional, courteous, service-oriented support to executives, managers, staff, and colleagues.
• Build and maintain working knowledge of telephony devices, including mobile devices.
• Maintain workstation and printer configurations on the network.
• Keep the client IT Asset Management (ITAM) system accurate and up to date.
• Follow security and confidentiality policies for departmental and corporate information.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow established safety practices.
• Perform other IT and desktop-related duties consistent with the Desktop Support Technician skill set.
