Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12-hour, from 19:00 to 07:30. Requires every other weekend availability.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, in a busy emergency room setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform critical nursing procedures such as rapid sequence intubation, sedation, and defibrillation.
• Administer medications and monitor patient response.
• Manage care for patients requiring ventilator support or blood product administration.
• Oversee emergency triage and treatment in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality patient care improvements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing experience.
• Active compact nursing license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required.
• Experience floating to different campuses preferred.
