Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Agency Staff RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active, current Registered Nurse License in the State Certifications: BLS, NRP, C-EFM, STABLE Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing required - Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required - Time management and organizational skills required - Ability to make quality, independent decisions required - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process. Includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds professional performance standards as described by the American Nurses Association. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Demonstrates high standards of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior. Formulates decisions and actions based on ethical principles. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organizational data. Assesses the overall needs of patients/families and analyzes assessment data. Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact. Ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and timely. Assumes an autonomous leadership role and delegates appropriately. Engages in activities related to the professional role and seeks to advance knowledge and competence. Participates in ongoing improvement activities that contribute to quality patient care.
