Webber - Bridge Technician II - Infrastructure Management

Overview Join Ferrovial. This role involves maintenance and repairs of highway structures and related elements in accordance with contract standards and directed by a supervisor. The position requires operating in various field environments, including elevated work and water-related settings, to ensure safety and structural integrity. Responsibilities Maintain and repair highway structures including concrete, structural steel, welding, expansion joints, carpentry and painting as required. Create safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices (cones, boards, signage, etc.). Work from heights using bucket trucks, snooper trucks, scaffolding, ladders and aerial platforms. Repair/maintain functionality of bridge and culvert slopes, berms, drains, etc. using hand or power tools. Control vegetation appearance and growth using lawn equipment, trimmers, and chemical sprayers. Maintain bridge fender systems including navigational signs and lighting. Work in and around water and from boats as required. Transport crew and equipment to work sites using large trucks and trailers. Be available for emergency response rotations, overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrate knowledge of structures maintenance and safe work methods. Identify hazards and take appropriate actions to avoid loss or injury. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Cooperate and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Perform basic math and understand written, oral, or diagram instructions. Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Education and Experience HS Diploma or GED (Required). One-year work experience in construction, maintenance and repair (preferred). CDL, DOT certifications, Electrical and Welding Certifications (highly desirable). Valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record (Required). Work Conditions / Physical Demands Able to respond 24-hours a day for after-hour emergency calls. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk/hear. Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered tools and equipment; vision and sensory requirements as described. Exposure to outside weather, extreme heat/cold, occasional wet/humid conditions, high places, fumes or particles, and noise; must work in tight spaces and around water. Must wear PPE appropriate to the job.
