What You'll Do

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will perform inspections at various stages of production to verify that products meet all quality, dimensional, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct visual inspections of sub-assemblies and finished assemblies using magnifiers and specialized inspection equipment.
• Inspect electronic assemblies, PCBAs, circuit boards, and electro-mechanical products for workmanship and conformance.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to understand product requirements and tolerances.
• Use precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify dimensional specifications.
• Complete quality checks and basic computer-based testing to confirm product functionality and compliance.
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records in accordance with established procedures.
• Identify defects, nonconformances, and recurring quality issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Support quality assurance activities, audits, and documentation reviews in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following ESD and workplace safety requirements.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Control, or a related manufacturing role.
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections using magnification and inspection tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Experience documenting inspection results and maintaining quality records.
• Comfortable using computers for testing, inspections, data entry, and quality documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to raise quality concerns when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBA assembly, circuit board manufacturing, or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with ESD-sensitive environments and inspection equipment.
• Experience supporting audits and quality systems within regulated industries.
• Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow inspection procedures, quality standards, and work instructions with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility designed to support precision work and employee comfort. Team members work at dedicated inspection stations equipped with computers and industry-standard quality tools used for testing, documentation, and inspection activities.

Employees are expected to follow ESD protocols, including the use of ESD straps and smocks, and wear safety glasses in designated areas. The environment is highly focused on quality, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
