Overview

This role is an Electrical Construction Manager responsible for leading field execution of large-scale power infrastructure projects within a manufacturing environment. The focus is on medium- to high-voltage electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, VFDs, and power distribution . You will be hands-on in the field managing contractors and installation work, while also owning key project responsibilities including schedule, cost tracking, RFIs, and coordination from install through energization and commissioning .

Day-to-Day

• Manage electrical construction from install through energization and startup
• Oversee contractors performing large cable pulls and equipment installs
• Coordinate installation of transformers, switchgear, VFDs, and power distribution systems
• Own project schedule, budget tracking, and cost controls
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change issues, and construction documentation
• Track field execution, inspections, QA/QC, and commissioning activities
• Resolve design issues and field conflicts with engineering teams
• Lead project buyout, scopes of work, and contractor coordination
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and quality requirements

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction / project management
• Strong experience with medium/high-voltage power systems
• transformers, switchgear, VFDs, power distribution
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, data center, or heavy industrial environments
• Proven experience managing: contractors and field teams, schedules and cost tracking, and RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation
• Ability to manage projects from installation through commissioning/energization
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent field experience
