Role Description This full-time, on-site General Manager role is based in Mason, OH and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations. The General Manager leads and mentors the hotel team, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, service quality, and adherence to brand standards. Daily responsibilities include managing staff scheduling and performance, monitoring financial results, controlling costs, and optimizing revenue through effective sales and revenue management practices. The role also involves overseeing property maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in operational efficiency. The General Manager collaborates closely with ownership and corporate leadership to set goals, report on performance, and implement strategic initiatives that support long-term success. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including staff development, coaching, and performance management. Experience in hotel operations, with working knowledge of front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance functions. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and interpreting financial reports. Proficiency in sales, marketing, and revenue management strategies within the hospitality industry. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for working with guests, associates, and ownership partners. Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability. Knowledge of brand standards for major hotel flags (Hilton, IHG, Marriott) and experience maintaining quality and compliance. Comfort with hotel management systems, property management software, and basic office applications. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
