Shift Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm OR 6am - 2:30pm (candidate needs to be flexible if they want to be considered for conversion)

Description:

• The goal within the Maintenance Department is to maintain plant electrical / mechanical systems and equipment in a safe and reliable manner.
• The Maintenance Department's function is to provide outstanding customer service to the manufacturing and support groups in all areas of the plant through preventative/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrading of plant processing, packaging, and the filling line equipment.
• In addition, Maintenance Department personnel serve as a technical resource to the plant, division manufacturing and engineering groups.
• Repair gear heads and reducers, run all types of piping including black iron, stainless steel, copper, PVC and flexible tubing, install various components including: seals, bearings, o-rings, gaskets, adhesives, belts, chains, rollers, sprockets, gears and sheaves, troubleshoot repair/rebuild centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, weld stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, fabricate guards, etc.
  out of sheet metal and Lexan, cutting of metal with a plasma cutter or torch, wire and repair electric motors, repair basic wiring and replace lighting fixtures and lamps, correctly size fusing, motor overload protection and wire size per National Electric
• Code (NEC), read electrical schematics and wire directly from wiring diagrams, use of electrical and precision tools to complete assigned work.
• Proficient in performing repairs to production equipment and plant utility systems, troubleshooting complex, high-speed filling, packaging and conveying equipment, make machine adjustments to liquid line seamers, bottle sealers and bottle cappers, adjust timing systems such as rotary sterilizers, ensure proper operation of electrical / mechanical components and devices (push buttons, switches, timers, solenoids, electrical disconnects, AC and DC motors), troubleshoot and repair barcode scanners and video-jet ink printers.
• Housekeeping of the shop is primarily the responsibility of everyone working in the area.
• Accountable for maintaining various hand tools and equipment; drills, winches, micrometers, calipers, torches, welders, lathe, mill, multimeter, etc.
