Production Supervisor

Seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations and ensure seamless workflow from engineering through fabrication and final shipment. This individual will own the production schedule, coordinate cross-functional execution, and drive on-time delivery of high-quality parts. Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Execution Develop, manage, and execute daily and weekly production schedules Prioritize jobs based on customer deadlines and shop capacity Coordinate workflow across laser cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly Identify bottlenecks and proactively adjust resources to maintain flow Partner with engineering to ensure jobs are released accurately and on time Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly to minimize delays Ensure all documentation, prints, and job packets are complete and production-ready Lead and direct daily shop floor activities Set clear priorities, expectations, and accountability standards Monitor progress and step in to resolve issues as needed Drive a culture focused on quality, efficiency, and teamwork Delivery Performance Own and improve on-time delivery metrics Track production progress against schedule Communicate risks early and implement solutions to maintain commitments Identify opportunities to improve workflow and scheduling efficiency Support lean manufacturing practices and shop organization Promote a culture of urgency, ownership, and continuous improvement Qualifications 5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing operations Strong understanding of production scheduling and shop workflow management Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions Excellent communication and organizational skills What Success Looks Like Smooth flow of jobs from engineering through production Bottlenecks identified early and resolved quickly Clear team alignment on priorities and execution Improved on-time delivery performance Organized, efficient, and predictable shop operations Schedule Monday - Friday
