Physical Therapist Outpatient Orthopedic

The Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is responsible for delivering high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation care, with additional exposure to geriatric and neurological populations. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, managing follow-up appointments, and potentially working across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation environments. The therapist will provide patient-centered care to support recovery and functional improvement.
Responsibilities:
The Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is responsible for delivering high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation care, with additional exposure to geriatric and neurological populations. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, managing follow-up appointments, and potentially working across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation environments. The therapist will provide patient-centered care to support recovery and functional improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions primarily focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Manage patient caseload averaging 8-11 patients per day, including follow-up treatments and 1-3 initial evaluations daily.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings as needed.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and recovery expectations.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience or eligibility to work in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Knowledge of geriatric and neurological rehabilitation principles.
- Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques or modalities.
- Primarily outpatient care environment with potential exposure to acute and inpatient settings.
- Focus on orthopedic rehabilitation with opportunities to work with diverse patient populations.
- Monday through Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Appointments typically last 30 to 45 minutes, with an average of 10-12 patients scheduled daily.
