Payments are prorated for part-time hires.Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-driven Medical Assistant to join our Bedford Heights Surgical Center full-time, working 37.5 hours per week. This position provides clinical, administrative, and financial support to patients receiving procedural reproductive healthcare.Union Status: Bargaining Unit Position FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-ExemptThe Medical Assistant, Surgical Services supports patients throughout their abortion-care experience by providing compassionate clinical assistance, patient education, and administrative support. This position prepares patients for care, assists with abortion procedures, performs laboratory services, maintains accurate medical records, and helps ensure patient visits move safely and efficiently.This role also supports the revenue cycle by verifying payment information, determining eligibility for financial assistance, collecting and reconciling payments, and completing related closing procedures.The ideal candidate is organized, attentive, and comfortable discussing sensitive healthcare matters respectfully and without judgment.
