Construction Coordinator I - Wind - IL

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator I with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

• This is not a remote position. 100% travel is expected. Project based for 3 weeks with regular rotations home for 5-7 days per month. Project location is Reddick, IL. When project is completed, you will be sent anywhere in the U.S. Must be willing to travel anywhere.
• Sponsorships are not available for this position. Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
• Heavy equipment tracking and document control experience will be given priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting
• Process invoices and billing under the supervision of project manager and/or project accountant
• Train in new project admins/clerks
• Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff
• Assist with record retention and document controls
• Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
• Document conformance to plans and specs
• Recommend potential solutions
• Promote Mortenson's safety culture
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
• Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $**MIN - $**MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
