We're recruiting a CNC Machinist for a specialist precision engineering manufacturer in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Working across advanced manufacturing processes, you'll help produce high-quality bearing components used in demanding aerospace, defence and high-technology applications.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be doing:
Setting up and operating CNC machinery for precision component manufacturing.
Carrying out hard turning and grinding operations to exact specifications.
Preparing tooling, securing components and adjusting machine settings.
Working from engineering drawings and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances.
Using tool offsets and datums to achieve accurate results.
Inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in CNC machining, setting or precision grinding.
Hands-on setup experience with hard turning and/or grinding machinery.
Confidence interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
Knowledge of tooling, offsets and datum setting.
Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc or Mazak is advantageous.
The ability to troubleshoot machining issues and work independently.
