About the RoleWe are looking for Head of Market Surveillance to build and lead our trading risk control function. You will own the end-to-end framework that protects our platform and users from market manipulation, abnormal trading behavior, and systemic risk — spanning Spot, Derivatives (Futures & Options), Copy Trading, and Institutional products.

2. Cross-Product Risk Governance
- Own surveillance coverage across Spot, Futures, Options, Copy Trading, and Institutional/OTC product lines.
- Detect and mitigate market manipulation (wash trading, spoofing/layering, pump-and-dump, front-running, etc.), abnormal trading patterns, and whale-concentration risks.
- Define alert thresholds, escalation protocols, and enforcement actions (warnings, restrictions, liquidation safeguards).
3. Strategy Development & Intelligence
- Build and continuously refine quantitative detection models and rule engines for manipulation identification and real-time intervention.
- Leverage data analytics and machine learning to improve detection precision and reduce false positives.
- Stay current on emerging manipulation tactics in crypto markets and adapt surveillance strategies accordingly.
4. Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and performance-manage a high-caliber surveillance team (analysts, quant developers, investigators).
- Drive the team toward standardization, automation, and intelligent (AI-assisted) operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering.
- Master's degree or above in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of market surveillance / trading risk control experience at a top-tier centralized exchange (CEX) or equivalent financial institution.
- Deep familiarity with CEX product mechanics and the risk scenarios that lead to customer disputes or financial losses.
- Strong understanding of common market manipulation typologies and detection methodologies; able to articulate a personal surveillance philosophy.
- Hands-on capability in strategy/rule development and data analysis (SQL, Python, or similar).
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (MiCA, MAS, JFSA, or equivalent) applicable to crypto trading platforms.
- Track record of building surveillance systems from the ground up (0→1).
